Zoo urges Second Tuesday guests to ride MAX, save
Oregon Zoo guests can enjoy their visit while spending less on Jan. 10 – especially if they MAX it to the zoo.
The zoo offers discounted $4 admission on the second Tuesday of each month. Visitors who use MAX or the bus receive an additional $1.50 off general admission and are not required to pay the $2 per vehicle parking fee. Discounts require proof of ridership.
"This is a great time of year to see the animals," said zoo director Kim Smith. "Many species are more active than they will be in the summer heat, and smaller crowds make it easier to enjoy the zoo at a leisurely pace."
The zoo’s popular Second Tuesday admission-discount program, sponsored by the Walmart Foundation with support from The Standard, offers a reduced admission price of $4 on the second Tuesday of each month, a discount of nearly 65 percent from regular zoo admission. As always, children 2 and younger are admitted free.
